Napoleon
(2023), film directed by Ridley Scott, reveals, by means of centralized
ambience, insights from the Concierguerie, historical Prison and institution,
the opening scene portraying artistic
details of the daughter of the Austrian Emperor and Queen of France, Marie
Antoinette.
Focused scene
visual aids, centralized attention of beauty: neck and pale skin displayed artistic and symbolic foreshadowing of
Head of State’s agenda, Napoleon, the Emperor of France’s sovereign state after
the end of Monarchic Reign.
Even
though the cease of Monarchy’s Reign was
not related to a direct Emperor action, the early bureaucracy of young
bourgeois, class elevation of dispute, the development of Napoleon, interpreted
by Joaquin Phoenix, brings into focus the agenda established between the
building of the Head of State and
figures of interest such as the anglo-saxon diplomatic service and
representative of the sovereign State of France and other historical archives in correspondence with Alexandre I of Russia.
Albeit
Napoleon’s wife, Joséphine’s devoted and distinguished role as the romantic ‘compagnon’ and life partner, interpreted
by Vanessa Kirby, was surveilled by aristocrats and bad press, the diplomatic ‘Rendez Vous’ avec les anglais, developed
the act of ‘bavarder’ as one the
Emperors struggle’s despite the fact the correspondence between press and
romantic threats that were of incidence during Napoleon’s trip to Egypt.
Even
though the Emperor’s military accomplishments were leitmotiv to consider the ‘République’ as a foreign and domestic
concept after Monarchic Reign, successful
due to the ‘détente’ of conflict to
avoid the destruction of the Treasures of Humanity, the diplomatic tie with the
English before retreating was an asset to avoid further conflict with Land
Owners.
Napoleon’s
visit to white collar figures and
post hoc romantic affairs were not considered a hazard to eternal ties with
Joséphine and the new vie de la République albeit the not written loyalty to French Reign before the leader’s departure to
St. Heléne (1815).
